July 6 indeed had a powerful episode of NWA Powerrr this evening as Homicide made a surprise return and a new National Champion was crowned. The established wrestling veteran in Homicide happened to be the surprise partner of Mecha Wolf and Beastia 666 against Hawx Aerie and El Rudo in six-man tag action. The former LAX member in IMPACT isolated PJ Hawx and El Rudo to allow his La Rebelion partners to pin Luke Hawx with their Mark Of The Beast finisher. Homicide, who has been a player in Ring Of Honor since COVID-19 struck the globe, was last seen in NWA teaming with Eddie Kingston all the way back in January 2020.
Also occurring on the program was Chris Adonis becoming the promotion’s new National Champion after defeating JTG in singles competition, but not without a little controversy occurring. Adonis, who originally vacated the National Title in the first place, secured JTG in his Adonis Lock, but JTG wouldn’t submit. As he was nearing passing out, Fred Rosser came in to throw in the towel. This prompted Trevor Murdoch to question Fred’s reasoning who said he wanted JTG to fight another day.
