Joe Koff says there are talks about a Ring Of Honor Hall Of Fame, but they need to answer some important questions before it comes to fruition.

Koff was this week’s guest on the ROHStrong podcast, and host Kevin Eck asked about the potential we see a ROH Hall Of Fame in the near future. Koff said that it’s not a new topic, but the most important things to consider are the nominees themselves and the people doing the nominating.

“Absolutely. We talk about it, it’s not a new thought. It’s a matter of ‘how’, ‘who’, ‘when’, but most importantly ‘why’, and I think we’re getting that part answered. I like the thought of 20; 20 is a good number and maybe that’s the place to begin. I definitely think we should have that and be proud of that.”

“I would tell you that I would have to defer to other people other that myself because I am only familiar with the talent that I’ve worked with. Like I said, I was not a regular Ring Of Honor watcher because I was not that technically savvy and I don’t remember seeing it on [HDNet]. I don’t even remember if I got [the network]. So, there were wrestlers in Ring Of Honor at the time that I know had some historical perspective, but I never really saw their work until I saw it in the archived material.”

“I think one of the most important things in the Hall Of Fame is who we bring in as our first nominating group. Not only the people that are nominated, but those who are nominating, I think that is equally as important as who gets nominated. We’ll take care with that, but like everything we do, we put a lot of thought behind it. However it will be presented, when it will be presented, it will be fabulous.”
