Jinder Mahal is back in WWE, but he still came up short at WWE Superstar Spectacle after running into his old ‘bandmate’ Drew McIntyre.
Jinder Mahal made his return to the ring on today’s broadcast, teaming up with the Bollywood Boyz against McIntyre and Indus Sher. The main event match started with an introduction by Ric Flair, but Jinder interrupted him and showered praise on himself instead. Before he could finish his speech, McIntyre cut him off and said welcome back… and then introduced Indus Sher as the rest of his new “three-man band” that would go to battle with him.
The final moments of the match saw Drew go for a Claymore, but Jinder kneed him to counter. Moments later, Drew returned the favor with a successful Claymore, then Indus Sher connected with a double team elbow drop combination for the win.
WWE Superstar Spectacle marks Jinder’s first in-ring appearance for WWE since he faced Akira Tozawa on May 22, 2020, and it’s also just the fourth match that Jinder has competed in since June 15, 2019. Jinder was out of action due to having initial knee surgery, then returned for three matches before leaving again for another surgery to fix complications from the first procedure.
