UPDATE: PWInsider is reporting that tomorrow’s episode will not be taped and that the show is essentially over. It could be brought back for one-off specials, but no regular shows will happen.
After poor ratings (although last week’s was a yearly high) and programming cutbacks at FS1, WWE Backstage will no longer be a weekly show.
Both boxing and WWE shoulder programming is being reduced reports John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal. “Inside PBC” is being eliminated completely, while WWE Backstage will no longer be a weekly show. This move is resulting in double digit job losses.
Additional details will be reported tonight. We’ll make sure to update when it comes out and if WWE makes an official statement.
