The main event of last night’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House had some shocking results as it was Io Shirai who ended up defeating Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship. Shirai ended up sealing the victory for herself after The Genius Of The Sky soared her way down onto a prone Ripley who was suffering at the legs of a Figure Eight submission.
Post match, Shirai was backstage and gave a few comments in both English and Japanese after she shook up the black and gold brand with her big win.
“Yeah, I did it. I got it finally. [Speaks In Japanese]. Rhea Ripley is tough. Charlotte is tough, but I am the NXT Women’s Champion,” an elated Io commented.
