It turns out that WWE won’t be holding a slate of TV tapings. Instead, the company plans to return to a live TV format.
Starting next week, WWE will be airing live episodes of RAW, NXT, and SmackDown from Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center in front of no fans.
WWE had plans to hold TV tapings from Friday through next Thursday. However, Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that next week’s WWE NXT, RAW and SmackDown will air live.
It was noted that WWE made the call to go back to a live format after they had filmed Friday’s episodes of SmackDown and 205 Live episodes. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what influenced the decision.
WWE has been taping their weekly TV shows last month due to the coronavirus pandemic. This included both nights of WrestleMania 36.
