WrestleMania is just 2 weeks away and the match card is nearly completed. It was recently revealed that Bayley will be defending her title in a 6-pack challenge against Sasha Banks, Tamina, Naomi, Dana Brooke, and Lacey Evans.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is now providing some insight as to what the original plans were for this match. According to Dave, the original plan called for Bayley and Sasha Banks to have a one-on-one match at the big event.
Vince McMahon was also supportive of this being the match but officials eventually decided that four weeks was not long enough to build this match. Meltzer said, “They just said, ‘Are we going to do a match with four weeks and no build!?’ They kind of got it pushed back where they’ll get the 6-way now and that’ll be the start [of their program] and then the singles match later when it’s not so rushed.”
Do you think it is the right move to push this match back? Do you see them holding out until Summerslam for this match or will it come sooner? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
