Tokyo Sports out of Japan is reporting that now former All Japan Pro-Wrestling president Jun Akiyama resigned from his position on July 8. Akiyama has been the promotion’s president just over five years on July 1 in which around that time was in a reported slump.
Under his watch, Akiyama has promoted major stars of the company such as Kento Miyahara, Aumayanuma and Nomura Naoya. Takeover Fukuda at the age of 53, will now take over the reigns as president who reportedly wants to take a higher focus on work in the ring rather than the numbers.
