Former WWE RAW and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was recently interviewed by The San Antonio Express News to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Flair discussed taking part in the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view (PPV), Evolution, in October, as well as main eventing WrestleMania 35 earlier this year.

Taking part in the Evolution PPV:
Having an all-women’s pay-per-view that did so well and trended globally during the World Series just goes to show how important the women are and what we have evolved into. We are superstars. But for me, Evolution was a different role, and it was a breakout moment of showing the audience a different side. … It was a growing moment for me, and since it was the first Last Woman Standing match at a pay-per-view, it really highlighted the physicality and storytelling that we can do. It will go down as one of my favorite matches.
Main eventing WrestleMania 35:
I think the buildup was very stressful for me, to be honest. … It was a roller coaster. I just kept thinking (main eventing WrestleMania) was something I had talked about for so long, and it was finally here. … Even the next day I woke up and I was like, ‘I just main evented WrestleMania.’ But with the way I am, I also woke up and was like, ‘What’s Next?’ You can’t tell me that is the peak of your career. It just gives you a taste and makes you want more.
