Ring of Honor’s Final Battle has traditionally taken place in New York City, usually inside the famous Hammerstein Ballroom. For the sixth time in company history, the show will not take place there. Instead, Final Battle will be in Baltimore this December. This is the first time that ROH has hosted a show in their home city.
Final Battle started off in Philadelphia in the first three years of the show’s existence, with New Jersey hosting it one year before New York became the home city. While Phillie also hosted the show in 2015 inside the then-closing ECW Arena, every other event has taken place in the Big Apple. ROH will return to the Hammerstein on July 20 for a TV taping, so it’s clear that they have no problems with the venue.
