Val Venis was recently interviewed by The Hannibal TV, and he discussed his time working with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While saying Rock wasn’t the most technical wrestler, Venis had high praise for his former foe and gave him quite a few compliments.
“It was like another night off,” said Venis about wrestling Johnson. “Let’s face it, Rock isn’t the greatest wrestler in the world. When I say it’s like a night off wrestling him, it’s that he does most of the work. Most of his work is stick work. So, to get in there with Rock, it wasn’t like he was a really great wrestler. He knows very basic moves, but he knows how to do them well. It was an honor and pleasure to work with him. He could have a good match with pretty much everybody.”
