Joey Ryan Saying ‘Farewell’ To The Indies
Joey Ryan posted the following, revealing a limited edition KISS-themed ‘farewell’ t-shirt that is on sale now. Ryan’s post also alludes to the recent reports that he was drawing interest from major promotions, which included WWE. According to a report in last week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was interested in signing Ryan as a talent and would later consider him for a trainer’s role.

On the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave an update on the situation, saying the offer made to Ryan by WWE “wasn’t anything special” and it would act more like a way to take a talent away from All Elite Wrestling. Meltzer also noted that if Ryan was to sign with WWE, the deal would not see him as a main roster talent, which reflected his earlier comments that Ryan would work for the NXT brand.
Ryan had his request for a contractual release granted by Lucha Underground in March.
