Pat McAfee is just happy to be a glitch in the simulation right now in the world of Vince McMahon and WWE.
This morning on The Pat McAfee Show, the SmackDown commentator broke down this morning’s breaking news concerning Vince and Stephanie McMahon. McAfee revealed when he reached out to WWE about Mr. McMahon appearing on the show tonight; they told him that they had no idea it was going to happen.
“Some massive news came out of WWE this morning,” Pat McAfee began. “And obviously, I addressed the early headlines yesterday about me having no idea about any of this coming or happening or ever taking place. This morning, Stephanie McMahon is now interim CEO and Interim Chairwoman, and tonight on SmackDown, Vince McMahon, Mr. McMahon, will be appearing. This is gonna be a wild — I have no idea what’s happening when I fly into Minneapolis, Minnesota, this afternoon.
“This is gonna be — I have Charles Barkley here to start today. And I’m ending it in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with obviously a company that’s been around for a very long time. And I’ve been a fan of for my basic entire life, and it’s in one of the biggest, most crucial times in the history, and I’m just gonna be right there. It is so — my life is a glitch in the simulation. I understand that, and just like everybody else, I have no idea what’s happening tonight. And I’ve sent out a couple of texts with the tweet from the WWE, saying Mr. McMahon will appear on it, and I’m like, ‘How’s this going in?’ The response I got was, ‘nobody knew this was happening on the show.’ So man, what a night. Honestly, what the hell is gonna happen with all of it?”
