When asked by the Orlando Sentinel about the originally planned main event for WrestleMania 35, Becky Lynch didn’t mince words. “If it was just Charlotte and Ronda, it would have been the most boring WrestleMania main event in history, and maybe not even the main event.” It’s been a long road for Lynch this year, starting at SummerSlam in her match with Charlotte and ending this Sunday.
Of course, the road was longer than that, going back to her NXT debut, where she danced an Irish jig.
Oh my God. There is your comeback story. There’s the message. If I can debut that way and get to the main event of WrestleMania, anything is possible, for anybody.
Lynch talked about never finding satisfaction with her current position and always striving for more.
I think frustration is a wonderful thing, a fantastic tool if you use it properly. If you get frustrated and just b—- and moan, forget about it. But I love proving people wrong, so I use that frustration as rocket fuel.
Becky will be fighting Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35 in the main event for both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships.
