We reported a few days ago that WWE was considering changing the opponent for Kurt Angle at WrestleMania and it seems like it is still up for debate at this time. A new report from Rajah suggests that the match is still not etched 100% in stone yet.
Kurt Angle himself and some big backstage officials are reportedly lobbying for the opponent to be changed to John Cena. On the other hand, many backstage officials believe this is excellent heat for Baron Corbin and the negative response is only helping his character.
There is still 2 weeks left until WrestleMania and at this point it appears as if there may be a 50/50 split about what is going to happen with Kurt Angle’s match.
As of this weekend, Angle vs. Corbin was still the planned match. Kurt and others backstage lobbied for Cena and this is just what I am perceiving, but seems WWE thinks the negative response is great for Corbin. Still 2 weeks left for minds to change.
