According to Jeremy Botter of Bleacher Report, the current plan is for Kevin Owens to return and face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35. ‘The New’ Daniel Bryan is currently scheduled to face Kofi Kingston at Fastlane, but beyond that, fans have been wondering who he’ll take on at the showcase of the immortals if he is able to retain against the New Day member.
As Botter notes, this would add a lot more meaning to Owens’ recent promos in which he’s been eating fast food. If he does indeed return it would make sense for him to be a babyface, which is the kind of ‘good-morals heel vs questionable babyface’ contrast that made CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy so intriguing.
