Ronda Rousey had a well-received match against Nia Jax at TLC 2018, and she was the subject of the latest episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio show. They had Dustin Runnels (better known as WWE’s Goldust) on as their guest today. While much of his segment focused on his battles with addiction and depression, he also talked about how impressed he was with WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.
“Another person that is a real natural is Ronda Rousey,” said Goldust. “I think Ronda really wants to learn, and everything she has learned and that they’ve given her, she’s taken it and done it good. She’s catching on very quickly, one of the quickest I’ve seen catch on to the business. Now the storytelling and all the psychology, that comes later. When you’re fresh and new you don’t really know how to do it, but she’s catching it already at an early age in the business.”
Busted Open co-host Mark Henry then interjected by saying that “I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone other than Kurt Angle learn things as fast as she has.” He then asked Runnels if he could “think of anyone else that has got used to it this quickly?” Runnels replied by saying, “No, I think she’s probably one of the top that have caught it so quickly, and she’s only going to get better.”
