Ryusuke Taguchi Celebrates 16 Years In Wrestling
This coming Thursday marks the 16th anniversary of Ryusuke Taguchi’s professional wrestling debut. Taguchi trained in the NJPW Dojo before debuting on Nov. 22nd, 2002. He went on to be a 2-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, a 6-time IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion, and even won the 2012 Best Of Super Juniors tournament.
Taguchi is probably best known for his tag team Apollo 55, that consisted of himself & Prince Devitt (aka Finn Balor). Apollo 55 took on The Golden Lovers in an Oct. 11th match that ended up winning Tokyo Sports Best Bout for 2010. Taguchi is now head coach of the Taguchi Japan faction, which includes members like KUSHIDA & Hiroshi Tanahashi.
