During tonight’s NXT tapings at Full Sail University, Johnny Gargano was revealed to be Aleister Black’s assailant, rendering off of NXT TV for nearly two months. Black was written off of television before NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, attacked by an unknown figure outside of the Full Sail Arena. NXT general manager William Regal went on an investigation, questioning the entire roster including Gargano, where he told Regal to look into his eyes for the answer.
When Black returned during the last set of tapings, he found out who it was due to Nikki Cross telling him. After attacking Lars Sullivan on tonight’s tapings, Black was struck with a superkick by Gargano. Gargano would later throw the hoodie around his head, implying that he was the attacker all along:
