Rey Mysterio officially makes his WWE return to the ring on SmackDown Live 1000 next week, as he’ll face Shinsuke Nakamura in a WWE World Cup qualifying match.
This will mark Mysterio’s third appearance on WWE television this year since participating in both Royal Rumble variations and his first time as a full-time roster member since departing in 2015. Rumors of his imminent return began to swirl in the summer, with confirmation of Mysterio signing a new deal in September.
