#3.) Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles – Slammiversary 2008
Kurt Angle and AJ Styles had two incredible matches at Slammiversary. The first was in 2008 and the second was in 2013. The match in 2008 was a bit of a personal grudge match, as it also involved Angle’s ex-wife Karen. With Karen separating from Angle and showing affection towards Styles, it made the veteran Angle go crazy and assault AJ Styles.
Angle had Tomko in his corner and it would turn out to be an all-out war between two men who had phenomenal chemistry with each other. It was seen right then and there that they were able to produce magic in the ring and all this was despite the fact that Angle was almost not cleared to compete in the event. AJ Styles won but was assaulted post-match, furthering him as a babyface.
