John Cena has transitioned into a very different role in WWE since 2015. He became a part-timer, choosing to follow The Rock into the world of Hollywood. To be fair, despite all the criticism, there’s no denying that Cena has earned the right to his part-time schedule. Among all the faces of WWE, he was the longest-tenured one on top.
Even megastars like Steve Austin and The Rock were only on top for very few years (albeit, the impact they made was on another level). Carrying a company on your back for over a decade is no easy task, and Cena was able to pull it off. Since he’s moved to his part-time role, he hasn’t been the “Super Cena” that fans complained about for years.
In fact, he’s been giving and giving and putting over superstars left and right. Despite years of fans complaining that he wouldn’t put people over, he’s been doing nothing but giving back. In an interview, Cena himself said that his time was up and that someone else’s time is now.
It’s clear that he knows his place, and his role going forward will likely be to put other superstars over. With many names that could benefit from getting the rub, here are the best five stars to put over.
