B3CCA is ready to show everyone how much she’s grown in the past few years.
WrestleZone spoke with B3CCA ahead of her appearance in the 2023 Limitless Wrestling Vacationland Cup. B3CCA will face off with Aaron Rourke in the first round of the tournament, her second one overall.
“So my first Vacationland Cup was two years ago. I faced JT Dunn, and I was eliminated in the first round. And then, last year, I didn’t participate. [I was in] the title match with Alec Price for the Limitless Championship. And so this is my second chance at the Vacationland Cup. And yeah, I think that I’ve really grown in the past two years.
“I mean, two years ago, I’d only really been around for like a year (at that point). And I think that I’ve found my voice a lot over the past few years and a lot of confidence, especially in the ring. And I’m really excited to kind of show the progress that I’ve made over the past two years in the Vacationland Cup.”
Not Really Basic
B3CCA has also been ‘Basic Becca’ and she even wore hockey gear like Norman Smiley for a time. B3CCA spoke about the inspiration behind finding her various gimmicks, noting how it came from finding a way to make herself stand out.
“Oh, for sure. I mean, why reinvent the wheel if it works? When I first started doing the Basic B3CCA thing, I remember my first few times, just like having matches, like even in class, my trainers being like, ‘Hey, we get it, but you’re not really basic. You do a lot of cool stuff, and you’re like pretty good at wrestling.’ Especially for how young I was at the time.
“And I remember thinking, ‘Yeah, but I feel basic. This is just how I feel.’ And I think like viewing that as I don’t know, my presentation is kind of my reflection of how I feel about myself. I think you can kind of see that over the past few years evolved, and like I said, confidence through the roof. And even the hockey pads stuff, sometimes you have to find your wild, crazy tough side and go for it.”
The Next Step
B3CCA was asked what the next step is that would get her closer to her ultimate goal in pro wrestling. Limitless is “home” for B3CCA, and it’s great that she’s had a promotion like that invest in her. That said, she still has plenty of places and countries she wants to work in.
“I think there’s a lot of things that I want to do, and I’m not sure that I have an ultimate goal. Besides to, at some point in my life, look back and be really proud of everything that I’ve done. And all of the work that I’ve put in. I put a lot of work into everything that I do, and it’s really exciting to see me getting a platform for that work. Limitless was one of the first places that booked me consistently. So I always say that it feels like my home. And just having places invest in you and see your worth feels really good right now.
“But I just want to keep going with it and go worldwide. I’ve wrestled in Europe and the UK. I’d really love to wrestle in Japan. I have heard just amazing experiences about everybody who has gone from the US to Japan and wrestled there and trained there. That’s something I would really like to do in the near future. And the women’s wrestling there, there’s just so much of it, and there’s so much talent there. And I just really like to see what I could do in Japan.”
Limitless Wrestling‘s Vacationland Cup takes place on Saturday, August 26 at the Yarmouth Amvets. Doors are at 7 pm, with a bell time of 7:30 pm EST.
