Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Angle Versus Lashley Equals $$$”

The Revolution vs. The Wolves

impact wrestlingManik and Great Sanada attack before the bell. James Storm hits a big uppercut onto Davey and elbows Eddie off the apron. The Wolves are able to get back with some offensive moves and The Wolves head up top. James Storm catches Eddie from the top with some knees to his face. Storm hits a big move and then gets a two count. Neckbreaker and a clothesline combination from Storm as he tags in Abyss. Matt Hardy comes out to even the odds. abyss gets into the ring and tries for a Chokeslam. Both Wolves escape and kick Storm while clotheslining Abyss to the outside. They hit Suicide Dives on all four men of The Revolution. They hit 3 consecutive Suicide Dives.

James Storm is able to move and counters a dive to the outside. Edwards kicks him in the back of the head. Abyss punches him in the head, finally slowing things down. Hardy hits a Twist of Fate both Wolves hit their stomps to win the TNA Tag Team Championships.

Whew. What an action packed match with plenty of highlights. The Wolves are explosive, but they know how to control their offense. They are never sloppy and execute to perfection. I can see Matt and Jeff challenging them next, even though we have seen it before. I really enjoyed the Wolves paint on their chests as well. It is a small touch for their personalities, but it makes sense. This was an excellent segment.

Kurt Angle is the New Number 1 Contender

Angle wins a 3 way against Bobby Roode and Eric Young on Impact, with a really great outing by all three men. Kurt Angle is the best option to face Bobby Lashley. I wonder if TNA realizes that Lashley vs. Angle means $$$. This is a really great opportunity for them to focus on the best “wrestlers” in the company.

Do you agree with this booking? Angle is smooth and a teacher of the game. Lashley is a freak of nature and is second to none in the company in terms of wrestling a consistent and entertaining match. TNA could screw this up by involving the BDC. I think they know what they are doing, because the shows have been great since their move to Destination America. Bravo.
