PWG announcer Excalibur is out in the ring to start off the show, but the Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling (Kevin Steen, Adam Cole and the Young Bucks) have other plans. They fill the ring with garbage, insult recycling, Candice LeRae, Legion Larry and Steen drops an elbow on a broom. There are some penis jokes, a tag title match is made for tonight; general shenanigans that the crowd eats up.
B-Boy & Willie Mac def. Peter Avalon & Ray Rosas || ***
Early on it's a battle of size against nothing, as B-Boy and Willie manhandle their opponents, doing whatever they want for about five minutes. There's way too much showboating here, but the fans are super into it.. Peter becomes the whipping boy of the match, taking some harsh knife-edge chops from B-Boy; his facial expressions are priceless. What originally felt like a quick, one-sided match turns into a longer contest as “P-P-Ray” – that is actually what they are calling themselves – double teams one, then the other. The referee apparently doesn't care that they are using Rosas' fanny pack as a weapon. Finish comes with a B-Boy Brainbuster to Ray Rosas, while Willie Mac powerbombs Peter Avalon into the ring apron on the outside. (17:30)
Kevin Steen def. ACH || ***3/4
Steen has some Ultimate Warrior arm and leg bands going on, and the crowd is chanting for him to shake the ropes. Big dueling "Mr. Wrestling" vs. "ACH" chants to kick off this match. There's a great back-and-forth exchange early on, until Steen lands a massive senton down on all of ACH. He's flirting with Johnny Gargano (who made him tap out earlier this year) on commentary the entire time. ACH does some taunting of his own, calling out his reversals on Steen and hitting the Stinger Splash, followed by a bulldog. ACH dives over the top rope, but Steen literally just walks away and grabs a drink from the bar. The breaking down of ACH continues on for several minutes, with Steen firmly in control. He postures a bit too much though, saying "Sami Zayn is a bitch"*, and ACH hits him with an Arabian Moonsault to the outside. He tries for some sort of Pedigree, then a German suplex, but he can't lift the big man. ACH comes through the ropes with a flying cutter, but only gets a two-count. Steen counters into the F-Cinq, but ACH reverses into a stunner, and the two crash to the outside, taking out a few fans in the process. The Frog Splash gets a very close 2-count for ACH. Steen doesn't win it with a sleeper suplex, but he does get the win with a package piledriver. (18:17)
*Sami Zayn is a current WWE developmental talent that formerly worked on the independent scene as El Generico, one of Kevin Steen's biggest rivals, and one of his former tag team partners.
After the match, Steen acts like he's going to put ACH over by telling him the crowd seems to love the rookie, but instead hits him with another package piledriver. He nails a third, just to make sure everyone gets the message.
