WWE Extreme Rules 2019 was an absolutely solid PPV that lived up to the hype in every way. The card itself was quite an impressive one, if not a strong one and virtually every match delivered or satisfied in some way, shape or form. It ended with an absolute shocker as Brock Lesnar became a 3-time Universal Champion, but we seemingly know what lies ahead of us as WWE begins the build to the second biggest PPV of the year.
We mentioned earlier that Extreme Rules was an important stepping stone on the road to SummerSlam and WWE did a great job of it. If you exclude Super ShowDown from the list of PPVs, then that makes it three consecutive PPVs which have been really strong for WWE. If they can keep this rare form of consistency up, there’s no reason not to be excited about the future of the product.
Either way, there were quite a few fallouts and things we learned from the PPV and these are the main points.
