For the second year in a row, we are going to have the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. Last year, it was initially named the “Fabulous Moolah” Battle Royal, but there was a major fan backlash over Moolah’s past, and a large chunk of fans had contacted one of the WrestleMania sponsors – Snickers and complained about WWE glorifying the late Moolah.
As a result, WWE was forced to change the name to the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, and the first edition was a fun one, with a somewhat less-favorable outcome. Fans thought that Bayley had secured the win, but Naomi ended up getting it instead. Similar to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, it’s more of a match that helps get many other women on the card, along with NXT hopefuls who get to experience the grandest stage of them all for the first time (or even second).
Either way, its a fun, light-hearted match and it’s going to be interesting to see who walks out the victor. We look at the five best options.
