Charlie Haas is back in the pro wrestling mix.
The Oklahoman and tag team specialist has big plans for his squared circle future and he enjoys the fact that his options are open. Haas returned to the mainstream spotlight as he was a surprise competitor against Josh Alexander on IMPACT Wrestling several weeks back and it looked like one-half of the World’s Greatest Tag Team didn’t miss a beat, even facing the adversity of suffering a concussion late in the bout. Haas is ready to take on everyone and anyone and told WrestleZone’s Dominic DeAngelo just as much in a recent interview, but he did give some names that very much intrigue him.
“My list: Malakai [Black], JONAH, TJ Perkins. I’d love to have another match with [Hiroshi] Tanahashi now since IWGP is back in the United States right now. Rocky Romero, any of those guys. Davey Richards, Bryan Danielson. I mean him and I we broke bread together, we started together. So I’d love to have the opportunity to work all those guys. The list could go on and on.” Haas mentioned notable legacy names such as Dustin and Cody Rhodes, but also a Horseman familiar
“I would really like to come back and work with Arn Anderson and his son. I’d like to work with Brock,” Haas said, as he mentioned that Arn was someone he took a lot of pride in patterning himself after.”

As far as tag team goes, Charlie is up for finding a tag partner and working with The Young Bucks, FTR and his long-rivaled Briscoe Brothers. Haas spoke about working with Jay and Mark Briscoe early on in their careers, which was one of the Briscoes’ first matches ever.
“That’s the thing. My brother and I broke in the Briscoes,” he said. “We started a riot in their high school. We handcuffed the dad to the post. Russ and I did a move to the mom. The Briscoes were knocked out, the family jumped, they didn’t even know that was going on so yeah, the Briscoes and the Haas Brothers go back a long way, man. I think we were their first match ever.”
The match in question took place at ECWA’s “Battle At The Bob” in Newark, Delaware on November 25, 2000, and the match saw the Haas brothers retain their MCW Southern Tag Team Championship.
