Seth Rollins recently had a moment with his daughter that left him feeling quite old.
Speaking during the This is Football podcast with ESPN, Rollins, 39, reflected on what it was like trying to explain past technology to his daughter. Rollins jokingly told a story about how his daughter, who is 5, had no clue what DVDs or a boombox was, and it left him feeling quite old.
“My daughter…she’s 5, so I try to explain to her a DVD or VHS…we went to an old bookstore in LA, in Echo Park, and there were cassette tapes and a boombox, because that’s back again,” said Rollins. “She had no idea what I was talking about. No clue when I was trying to explain to her that there was music on that thing.”
Rollins, who qualifies as a millennial, knows all too well about the world of DVDs and VHS, but there is a hard line where a lot of that changed in the world. Now, he’ll have to resort to trying to explain to his daughter about the older ways of digesting media.
While Rollins isn’t feeling like a boomer for archaic forms of physical media, he is making moves in the business world. Rollins and his wife, Becky Lynch, recently announced they are starting their own coffee brand.
