AEW Star Appears to Have Suffered Injury on Dynamite

AEW star Jake Doyle may have suffered a serious injury during the latest edition of Dynamite.

Earlier this month, Doyle made his AEW Dynamite debut by joining the Don Callis Family as its newest member. Don Callis introduced him under the new name, and Jake Doyle quickly made an impact with Mark Davis.

Their tag team earned a title shot by winning a four-way tag team match, making them the number one contenders for FTR’s AEW World Tag Team Titles. This week’s episode of Dynamite featured a AEW World Tag Team Championship match between Doyle and Davis and FTR.

The match was high-intensity because both teams fought hard, but one dangerous spot shifted the momentum. During the match, Doyle took a DDT on the ring apron from Cash Wheeler. His landing position caused him to sustain an elbow or arm injury.

Following the spot, Doyle quickly rolled out of view to get medical attention. While AEW has not released an official statement, but early indications demonstrate that Doyle has sustained a bicep tear. Audio picked up him clearly saying, “I just tore my f*cking bicep,” which added to the concern among fans.

If confirmed, the injury would be a major setback for Doyle, especially since he recently signed with AEW and just began building momentum.
