Titus O’Neil Has Some Interesting Names In Mind To Expand Titus Worldwide

In the current WWE, there are a lot of former wrestlers who may have been done with in-ring competition, but still play a key role in the promotion. One such star is the leader of Titus Worldwide, Titus O’Neil. He recently revealed that he is interested in expanding his faction.

Titus has been away from in-ring action for a few years now. But he has been working hard as the Global Ambassador for WWE. Throughout his career as a wrestler, he has captured a couple of championships. He’s a former WWE World Tag Team Champion and the first person to capture the 24/7 Championship. O’Neil was inducted into the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame as the recipient of the Warrior Award.

During a recent interview with Fightful, the WWE Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on expanding Titus Worldwide. He mentioned that bringing back Akira Tozawa or adding Chad Gable into the mix would be nice.

“Chad Gable has his own thing with Alpha Academy, but I would definitely bring Tozawa back. That dude is so entertaining, ridiculously entertaining. If I had to get a female superstar, I’d like to get Jade [Jade Cargill] as part of Titus Worldwide. Another male, probably Carmelo Hayes. I really really like him. I think he’s going to be a big star in our business. Great personality. I’d probably throw Trick Williams in there too just because, even though he went to South Carolina, and Gators and South Carolina…I can prove on national TV that Gators and Gamecocks can work together in a non-competitive way and put out a good product,” Titus O’Neil. One more match?

O’Neil spoke with the media on SummerSlam weekend. During the session, Titus noted many of his accomplishments that took place outside of the ring. WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard asked O’Neil if he could narrow down his greatest in-ring accolade.

“I would call my greatest in-ring accomplishment winning the WWE Tag Team Championship. It was a very special night for both me and Darren Young. I got a chance to do it with legitimately one of my closest friends. [He’s] the first openly gay WWE Superstar and the way that he was able to be himself and be an inspiration to so many people,” O’Neil explained, “I would say being able to be part of that is definitely a highlight of my career.”

Titus O’Neil was also asked if he’s had his last match. Despite not competing in nearly three years, he’s not shutting the door on his career yet.

“Have you seen my last match? I don’t think so,” Titus stated. “Again, like everything, you never say never in this business. And so I would consistently say no, I don’t think so, but time will tell.”

Titus’s last match was a loss to Bobby Lashley on the November 9, 2020 episode of WWE RAW.
