Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Solid Show Built Around Main Event Talent”

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match

impact wrestlingVia Wrestlezone:

Lashley punches MVP in the corner before he tackles him, then Aries dropkicks Lashley and Roode slams Aries and knocks him out of the ring. Roode tells Lashley this is between them, then Lashley slams him in the corner and chokes him with his boot before whipping him in the corner. Roode kicks him in the face and knocks Lashley across the ring, then Aries comes back with a dropkick before MVP repeatedly kicks Roode in the knees. He sets up a Drive-By kick but Roode counters as we go to a break, then we get back to see Aries hit Lashley with a suicide dive on the floor. MVP knocks Aries off the apron before he punches Roode in the corner, then Roode comes back with some knees before MVP hits him with some strikes and a Ballin’ elbow.

Aries breaks up a pin and applies Last Chancery, but Lashley picks him up and hits a Dominator before MVP stops Lashley from hitting a spear. Aries dives on everyone on the floor, then Roode pulls MVP into the ring and applies a Crossface, but Lashley breaks it up and they all end up in a Tower of Doom spot in the corner. Eric Young runs out and pulls Roode on the floor, then he hits Roode in the stomach with a chair before whipping him into the barricade. The ref misses this as he is watching the in-ring participants, and Aries counters a spear attempt with Last Chancery, only to have MVP break it up. Aries hits him with a discus forearm and knocks him outside, then Aries tries to dive on MVP but Lashley runs across the ring and spears Aries for the win.

After the match:

Samoa Joe and Kenny King run in and beat down Lashley.

Eric Young comes out and they begin the beating of Bobby Roode and Austin Aries.

6 Sides of Steel will take place next week, with Kurt Angle having Austin Aries on his team. Lashley says he will be on neither of their teams.

Very compelling ending for Impact leading into next week. The champion continues to impress and will not be teaming with anyone. You do not see Brock Lesnar teaming with anyone, so this is absolutely the right call.

Lashley needs to be by himself and really needs to focus on bettering himself on the mic. I  like Lashley a lot, especially when he can perform at the highest of levels. The interaction with him and everyone else makes you feel that he is above his competitors. Logic. I love logic because him being built alone makes SENSE. The main event talent pool is deep right now. That is never a bad thing for TNA. Kudos to a really good show tonight.
