The State of the TNA Knockouts Division
Impact saw Taryn Terrell defeat Madison Rayne and Gail Kim. This was not your typical 3-way match. I really liked how all of the Knockouts got a good bit of offense in during the match, which made it much smoother and more entertaining. Taryn Terrell is really solid in the ring. She takes chances, but they are calculated and she executes them. It is easy to adapt to her style of offense if you are Gail Kim, as she knows how to work the defensive angles of a match. She is such a good seller of moves where she does not completely overdue it. As for Madison, she continues to be a consistent performer who has already reached her peak. That is not a knock on her, but I do think she may be phased out with new Knockouts and ones who have not done SO much in TNA so far.
Tonight showed me that TNA knows they have the most talented women wrestlers in the company and they are going to showcase them. As for Havok and Awesome Kong, they are completely different breeds of wrestlers. They are able to really step outside of the normality and be more of an “attraction.”
