In Ring Segment: Adam Cole
Cole says he earned the right to face Johnny Gargano for the vacant NXT Championship. Cole demands that Gargano come to the ring and face him in the ring right now like a man. Gargano obliges. Gargano wants to hear all the reason Cole thinks he can beat him. Cole doesn’t say anything. Gargano says NXT history has been made. For the first time in history, Cole is speechless. Gargano says his goal has always been the NXT Championship and to get it her is going to go through Cole.
Gargano says he is “Johnny Takeover, Bay Bay”. Cole asks if that is supposed to scare him. Cole says Gargano never wins anything. Maybe Gargano should be called “Johnny Participation”. Cole list all of the accolades he has achieved over the past year. Gargano says Cole was handed everything. Gargano was not. Cole leaves the ring but stops on the ramp. Cole says he will be leaving TakeOver as NXT Champion because of the Undisputed Era. The group joins Cole on the stage.
Vanessa Borne and Aliyah vs. Lacy Lane and Kacy Catanzaro
Lane walks the ropes and sends Borne flying with an arm drag. Aliyah gets a blind tag and attacks Lane from behind. Borne and Aliyah take turns beating down Lane. Shayna Bazsler and Co hit the ring and attack Kacy and Lane to cause a disqualification.
Winners- Lacy Lane and Kacy Catanzaro
Bazsler puts Kacy in the Kirifuda Clutch. Kacy backflips out of it. Kacy tries a wheelbarrow but Bazsler counters into the Kirifuda Clutch. Kacy passes out. Bazsler stands on the announce table with the NXT Women’s Championship.
