Female Japanese Wrestler Aliya’ Passes Away At The Age Of 45

It was revealed from Sumie Sakai that Aya Koyama, known to the wrestling world as Aliya’, passed away this morning at the age of 45 after battling cancer. Aliya’ competed against the likes of Asuka and Manami Toyota throughout her 20-year career with several promotions including Big Japan, All Japan, Japanese Wrestling Project, All Japan Women’s Wrestling and CMLL. Aliya’ also competed as an MMA fighter in the early 2000s. She wrestled her final match while still battling stage IV cancer.

WrestleZone would like to extend our most deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of Alyia’ during this time.
