Dave Meltzer discussed on Twitter about how women should consider dyeing their hair to ‘get ahead in the WWE’ in reply to a fan that had to go four years back to October 2014 involving a match between AJ Lee and Paige, to seek out a main roster pay-per-view Championship bout not involving a white, non-blonde woman.
All women, if you want to get ahead in WWE, hair dye seems like an inexpensive and relatively safe thing to do. If you're non-white, that's admittedly going to be tougher odds. https://t.co/TcoH0E9AHC

However, this sparked off criticism from some quarters, with a fan even alleging that Meltzer had gotten worked if he was pushing the above narrative.
Meltzer replied in kind saying that being worked would only entail thinking that there were no two women who fit the blonde and white mould, that were good enough to fight for the Title in all of that time.
I was just responding to a fact that it has been more than four years since a WWE women's title match hasn't had a white woman with blonde hair. Being worked would be the person who hears that and thinks that at no time were two women not in that category good enough for that. https://t.co/If9pObPhyy
