A fan of Jim Ross‘ chirped at him on Twitter about his perceived attitude on social media and the Boomer Sooner threw him a counter-punch as to how he handles a certain group of the wrestling fanbase:

@JRsBBQ you've gotta stop going in on fans so much JR…don't lose sight of the fact that these are still the same people showing up to your events, buying your book & downloading your pods. That can quickly dwindle if you keep dissing fans so harshly. Chilllllll

Gotta agree with J.R. on this one. There’s certainly a group of fans that think they’re entitled to the spotlight and that overstep their boundaries when it comes to slinging arrows. Social media is a slippery slope for all, but I can only imagine how it can be for public figures with all the negativity out there (especially when it comes to wrestling fans).
