Last night at NJPW G1 Special in San Francisco, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi was dropped on his head during his match against Dragon Lee.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the preliminary word from sources in New Japan is that Hiromu may have suffered a broken neck from taking the bump. He was taken to the hospital as he collapsed backstage after his match.
Takahashi however, was still able to compete for a couple of minutes and the match ended with him retaining the title.
