Davey Boy Smith Jr is still wanted by New Orleans Police for an incident at WrestleCon despite Smith’s claims that he and Jake Roberts had worked out their issues.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting a representative for the New Orleans Police Department issued the following statement:
“Since this is a municipal charge, the victim can withdraw all charges by going through the city attorney’s office once the perpetrator has been located and either arrested or issued a summons. As far as we are aware, Smith is still wanted at this time.”
Earlier this weekend we reported Smith commented on social media about the incident, saying he has since apologized to Roberts for the altercation that ended with him throwing a hot cup of coffee in the WWE Hall Of Famer’s face.
Shortly after news of the incident broke, Smith explained to Wrestlezone that Roberts’ past comments about his father, WWE legend The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith, led him to confront Roberts at the event. He also cited a past incident with Roberts, as well as Roberts not being receptive to talking with him as to why he threw the coffee.
