Today Newsweek ran a report where they spoke with Dr. Robert Cantu who is one of the respected concussion specialists who evaluated Daniel Bryan for his in-ring return to WWE.
Cantu shared the following insight on Bryan’s February 2018 evaluation:
“I determined that Bryan is currently asymptomatic, has a normal detailed neurological and cognitive neuropsychological examination, normal EEG, and an MRI that showed no definite evidence of a prior brain injury. It is my medical opinion that there is no absolute contraindication to his return to in-ring action in WWE.”
Cantu who served as an independent opinion in Bryan’s overall evaluation, has previously worked on concussion injuries with athletes in the NBA, NHL, and NFL.
He also runs a concussion clinic at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts.
