Zack Sabre Jr. forced SANADA to submit in the main event of this morning’s New Japan Cup event. Sabre advances to the finals on 3/21, where he’ll meet Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tanahashi defeated Juice Robinson on 3/16 to advance.

This will be Sabre’s first New Japan Cup final, and Tanahashi’s third. Tanahashi has won the 2005 and 2008 New Japan Cup tournaments. This will be Sabre and Tanahashi’s third singles match. They are tied at one win each, Sabre winingn their G1 match, and Tanahashi winning at Destruction In Hiroshima.
The winner of the match will receive a championship match against the champion of their choosing.
