WWE Superfan “Collar x Elbow Guy” Kerry Morris has submitted the following recap and photo gallery (at the bottom of this post) to WrestleZone from his experience front row at RAW 25 in The Manhattan Center:
Going in, I knew Barclays would get more than the Manhattan Center. However, I expected a little more back and forth and Vince to open the show at the MC, similar to episode one.
I wasn’t expecting Stone Cold at all. I did expect more of the Legends to be at the MC, especially since they were staying next door at The New Yorker.
As the first match at Barclays progressed I started to think that all we could get would be The Undertaker and those two matches.
The crowd was getting pissy and the only thing to do was drink and watch on the big screen.
I was so glad to see The Undertaker but we all were thinking more would happen. Like Cena coming out to challenge him at Mania 34.
The crowd was getting more frustrated at this point and I felt bad for those Cruiserweights.
The MC popped hard for Bray vs Hardy because we were glad we finally got something (which was one of the chants). Then after the match, they cut off our feed when the former divas were out of stage and they immediately sent out Jeff Hardy.
If not for the Miz coming out, DX reunion and involvement of the Club, that tag match and the stuff after the show, I would have felt completely ripped off.
In the end, Barclays didn’t seem that much better nor more special and I chose the right venue for the nostalgia. However, for this type of show, one venue should have been it and if they wanted to make it special, spend the extra money and hold it at MSG.
