Renee Young interviews Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler goes through the formula for an interview and says that it ends with a cool catchphrase, right. Then does The Rocks “IF YA SMELL,” then makes his own catchphrase, I told you so. Says that last week he beat Bobby Roode (he told you so). Roode walks in smirking. Ziggler says that because of last night they are still not friends. Roode agrees. Roode says he rather enjoys fighting Ziggler. Roode proposes an idea for one more match. Ziggler says that he beat Roode twice. Roode says that he is on to something. Roode proposes next week on Smackdown Live, a 2-out-of-3 Falls match. Ziggler agrees and says good luck kid. Roode says next week is going to be Glorious.
Sami Zayn vs Randy Orton
Lock up. Orton backs up Zayn into the corner. Zayn gets a hold of Orton’s arm, but is again backed into a corner. The ref breaks it up and Zayn starts tapping Orton’s chest and backs away. Then they tie up again and Zayn pushes Orton into the corner. Zayn does not comply with a clean break and chops Orton twice. Orton the uppercuts Zayn and methodically picks Zayn apart with kicks. Orton with another uppercut and throws Zayn into the ropes. Zayn rolls out. Orton goes to the outside after Zayn. Rolls Zayn into the ring, but before he could get back in, Zayn connects on a sliding kick. Orton and Zayn fight on the outside. Zayn jumps up on the barricade and connects on a moonsault.
When we come back, Zayn has a headlock on Orton in the center of the ring. Orton gets to his feet and fights out. He hits the ropes, but then Zayn catches Orton with a dropkick. Zayn sets Orton up for a suplex, but Orton fights it. Orton gets Zayn up and tosses him onto the top rope. He clotheslines Sami Zayn twice and then punctuates it with a powerslam. Goes for a DDT, but Zayn pulls him outside the ring. Zayn is thrown onto the announce table and lands on his feet. He jumps back and Orton catches him. Orton then slams Zayn on the table. Gets Zayn back into the ring for a pin. Two count. Fallaway slam. Another pin, two count. Orton goes after Zayn in the corner but is caught by an elbow. Zayn jumps from the second rope to the top and then a crossbody on Orton. Pin, two count. Zayn backslide pin, another two count. Zayn goes onto the apron and starts to climb up the turnbuckle. When he gets to the top Orton gets up and hits Zayn with a right hand. Orton Superplexes Zayn and immediately goes for a pin. Two count. The action gets taken outside the ring and pushes Orton into the turnbuckle. Zayn then dives through the middle and top rope and plants Orton with a DDT. Orton gets in the ring and resides in the corner. Zayn lines up a Helluva kick, but Orton moves out of the way. Orton pulls Zayn through the ropes and connects on a DDT. Orton looking for an RKO, but Kevin Owens comes out for the distraction. Orton goes for a DDT on Owens, but is then rolled up for a pin by Zayn. Orton kicks out. As the ref tries to get Owens away, Orton hits Zayn with a low blow. Orton then connects on the RKO. 1! 2! 3!
Winner and new member of team Smackdown: Randy Orton
Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan backstage. Says it was a successful show. Raw did not attack tonight, but know it will happen eventually. Bryan says it is Shane’s job description to be ready for it.
