According to WKMG out of Orlando, Armando Montalvo, who was shot by police outside of the WWE Performance Center back in 2015, has been ruled incompetent and temporarily sent to a mental health facility in Florida.
Montalvo was shot by police back on August 31st, 2015, after surveillance footage showed him behaving inappropriately outside of the WWE Performance Center. When police responded to the incident, a confrontation ensued, and police opened fire when Montalvo grabbed some rocks and charging at one of the officers. Montalvo was shot in the chest but survived. He was later charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and trespassing.
Montalvo had a history of bizarre behavior outside the Performance Center, including instances of him spreading his feces and urine on the building, among other acts.
Additionally, Montalvo was obsessed with WWE Hall of Famer Amy “Lita” Dumas, and at the time of Montalvo’s shooting, Lita was routinely working at the Performance Center and filming material for WWE Tough Enough. Montalvo is scheduled to have his next hearing on January 31st, 2018.
