– Noam Darr is backstage getting checked out by a WWE doctor. He welcomes back Alicia Fox, then says he is excited about the future and might even go after the Cruiserweight Championship. Fox asks what he’s going to do about Cedric Alexander, and Darr is frustrated because he just wants to be done with all of that and leave it in the past. Fox freaks out and says that it will “literally” be finished when Cedric “literally” quits 205 Live. Darr gives up trying and reluctantly agrees.
(3) Rich Swann def TJ Perkins. TJP starts things off with a wrist lock but Swann turns the hold on them, and we get a nice back and forth exchange. Perkins keeps up the pressure with a leg scissors headlock, doing some nice maneuvers to maintain control until Swann breaks free and lights him up with a high elevation dropkick. Swann looks to dive to the floor but instead rebounds off the ropes and does a little dab of his own to play some mind games. TJP dumps him hard to the floor and he lands the hard way, then settles for a count-out before Swann makes it back into the ring by a count of 9. They slow things down as Perkins goes back to the holds and the crowd tries to work his opponent back into the match. He’s in complete control but Swann gives him a shove, and you can see the “friendly competition” go out the window as TJP hits him with a dropkick to the back of the head and applies an impressive Muta Lock. After several minutes Swann finally gets back into the match with a series of lariats, then hits a European uppercut and sends him flying off the top rope with an armdrag. Rich hits some Rolling Thunder for two. Perkins comes off the second rope with a forearm, but gets caught with a superkick and both men go down. TJ hits a double knee facebuster but only gets two-and-a-half. He sets up for the Detonation Kick but settles for a knee bar, and Swan breaks free and throws a big right haymaker to take down the former champion. They rock each other with back and forth kicks and once again both men are down, as the referee begins to count. Another Detonation Kick attempt gets turned into a crucifix and they trade pin attempts back and forth until Swann takes the win.
Both men shake hands after the match as a show of respect, and Swann ends the night celebrating his victory in the win. Perkins looks on from the ramp, frustrated with his loss.
