Jeff Jarrett
The following video features an exclusive interview with Global Force Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett talking about the news that Impact Wrestling is rebranding as Global Force Wrestling as the promotion’s name, with Impact remaining as the television show’s name. You can read a few transcribed highlights below:
“It sort of was a natural progression, so to speak. It’s no secret that I left December of 2013, and even from, I don’t know, even 2010, 11 or 12, up to the last couple of years, to me, there was always a little bit of confusion. For years and years, it was TNA, and the name of the television show was Impact and it was really, really simple. TNA was the name of the brand, the league, however you want to cache it and call it. But to me, it was a natural progression, I came back in January and myself and Anthem, we started working together and I was named Chief Creative Officer of Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, and they made it very clear, literally from day one that the TNA name was going away. For better or worse, it’s taken a lot of hits over the last 36 months or so, like I said the name TNA was going away, and it sort of naturally fit when we were merging.”
