In Ring Segment: The New Day
Xavier Woods welcomes the crowd to WrestleMania. Woods says they are honored to be here tonight. WWE was looking at many people to be the host for the show. The New Day were given the call to host. Kofi Kingston says tonight there will be joy and excitement. Big E. says they are the host and they officially pull their levers. Woods and Kingston tell Big E. he may want to rethink what he just said. Kingston adds that semantics are a real thing. Big E. (with a huge smile on his face) says they will pull THE lever and get the show started. Because New-Day- Rocks!
Shane McMahon vs AJ Styles
Shane locks in an armbar. Styles reverses it, but Shane transitions into a headlock. Styles floors Shane with a shoulder block. Shane leap frogs over Styles. Styles snapmares Shane down to the mat. Styles does the Shane strut. Styles and Shane lock up, but Shane picks up Styles and dumps him on his back! Shane hits a series of arm drags, followed by a cradle for a two count. Styles rolls to the outside to gather himself. Shane does Styles’ taunt in the middle of the ring. Shane tries to lock up, but Styles decks him in the face. Shane yells at Styles and asks if he wants to throw hands. Shane unleashes a flurry of punches, followed by a spinning back elbow! Shane gets dumped to the outside. Styles hits a baseball slide that sends Shane flying over the announce table.
