Kevin Gill Discusses Corey Graves & Mauro Ranallo Calling The Action On 205 Live, Talking Smack’s Time Slot Getting Bumped Back An Hour, More

The Kevin Gill Show debuted earlier today on Podcast Arena and featured all three original members of the NWO Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman) as his guest.

Kevin took some time at the top of the show to discuss WWE’s upcoming Cruiserweight series 205 Live. You can find some of his comments transcribed below.

On the upcoming WWE Network show 205 Live:

KG: Obviously it’s great to have a singles match and a six, eight or a ten man every week on RAW. Ultimately you need more time. Mic time and all of these things to develop. To give all these new WWE signees and in some cases it’s people that are not signed to WWE. To me it’s a really amazing and ground breaking opportunity. As a wrestling commentator myself to know that you have the show in the capable hands of Corey Graves and Mauro Ranallo that’s just amazing to me. The two best commentators calling some of the illest type matches that you can get. Featuring all new ground breaking talent. I’m immediately just wondering what the storyline is going to be. How’s it all going to come together? In a positive way. Like, “This is something I’m totally geeked about.”

On 205 Live airing immediately after WWE Smackdown and bumping Talking Smack back an hour:

KG: The idea of a post-WWE show… think of how many people are making a living right now broadcasting and other places where a big chunk of their audience comes from them just talking about what happened on RAW or Smackdown. It’s way better and way smarter for WWE to control that messaging and to have their own show. I imagine they don’t take any of these decisions lightly but they’re probably just thinking, “Man, we get that audience to stay on after Smackdown to watch the new show.” It’s weird, The Talking Dead isn’t on two hours after The Walking Dead. It’s on right after. You know what I mean? It’s the post-show.
