Former WWE NXT head trainer Bill DeMott recently spoke with Planeta Wrestling and below are some interview highlights:
And still, talking about controversies and injuries… we have a Hall of Famer like Bret Hart taking on Seth Rollins and saying that he is a dangerous performer regarding his matches with John Cena, Sting or Finn Balor. What do you think about these accusations?
I would not even try to compare my knowledge to Bret Hart nor would I question his thinking, that being said I do not think it is anything more than coincidence that all this happened around Seth. Rollins is one of the best there is and I would put my career in his hands any day. Things happen people get hurt and someone has to get “blamed” unfortunately it doesn’t always end in favor of both participants but I would bet anything ALL of this men would get back in the ring with Seth and he is a professional as they get. He is the future of the business.
You’ve been WCW United States Heavyweight Champion twice, How do you see the landscape of this title now with two performers like Roman Reigns and Rusev and what does this title means to you:
Man, for a long time I was considered a BIG MAN that could move and I was so happy to join the ranks of United States Champions, but to watch two guys like Rusev and Reings doing what they are doing…..mind blowing to see these two big men working so hard and doing do so well. True stars!
You worked with Neville, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, how do you feel when you see that they are succeed on the main roster specially for Owens as the Universal champion:
I imagine I am the old retired coach watching his players / students / talents go on to bigger and better things and continue to change the face of this industry. I am proud of all of them and I get a nervous energy when I watch them and see how well they are all doing.
