Cody Rhodes
As mentioned earlier, Cody Rhodes made his TNA Impact Wrestling on-air debut in a pre-taped video package, revealing he will appear live at the TNA Bound For Glory PPV in two weeks.
Rhodes was billed as simply ‘Cody’, which was expected as it was reported that WWE still technically owns the ‘Cody Rhodes’ name. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer noted that Cody might be able to be billed with his last name if he were announced along with his wife Brandi Rhodes (ex: Cody and Brandi Rhodes), but he will not be using the ‘Rhodes’ surname himself.
It was noted that the debut video for Cody billed him as ‘Cody’, and Josh Mathews only referred to him as ‘Cody’ when he was doing a rundown of the TNA Bound For Glory event card later in the broadcast.
